Bishopsgate School is seeking an inspirational and experienced EYFS Teacher to join our Lower School. This is a permanent full-time post. The role includes organising and teaching nursery classes, leading the nursery team, and undertaking a share of supervisory duties in accordance with school policies.

The rate of pay is higher than national pay scales and salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.

The successful candidate must be a graduate and qualified teacher with the experience to make them an able classroom practitioner.

A role has become available for the second most high-profile job in the School.  Our School Administrator is the first point of reference for visitors and a crucial link for all pupils and parents and, as such must be very personable with high personal standards of presentation.

In addition the successful candidate will have strong skills in IT, communication and organisation.

This is a part-time role of 25 hours per week, term time only. The hours can be organised to integrate with other members of the administrative team.

Maintenance Person/Caretaker

Maintenance Person

Bishopsgate School is recruiting a Maintenance Person/Caretaker. The post holder will be responsible for all day to day maintenance matters. Under the direction of the Bursar, the successful candidate will provide assistance and support in the maintenance of the site, facilities and equipment, as well as some caretaking and security responsibilities. The duties include: general maintenance and minor repairs, liaising with contractors, and managing heating, lighting and alarm systems. The role will vary from day to day and will also include setting up for assemblies and other school events as required. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy and supportive environment and will be willing to work ‘above and beyond’ in support of the school.

The successful applicant:

  • must be honest, reliable and trustworthy
  • have excellent trade skills
  • have the ability to work well, using their own initiative, in a school environment
  • be flexible, enthusiastic, and adaptable to the needs of the school
  • have good communication skills

It is essential that all candidates:

  • hold a current full driving licence
  • have experience in premises management and property maintenance
  • have knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • be eligible to work in the UK and be able to provide two working references

Hours of work are weekdays 07.45 – 16.30 with the occasional evenings and weekend days required ad hoc. Flexibility will be the key to success in this role.

The start date for this role is as soon as possible, but the school can be flexible to meet the needs of the right candidate.
