The school's Rowing Club is extremely popular. Children from year 5 go afloat at Dorney Lake under the expert coaching of World Championship coaches.

Sports at Bishopsgate

Team Games, Athletics, Dance, Tennis, Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do, Swimming and much more are included in a varied and exciting sporting programme within the school day.
Games are played four times each week in the Upper School and once each week in Lower School from Year 1 upwards. These sessions are coached by members of staff with an expertise and enthusiasm for their sport or by specialist coaches.

In winter the boys enjoy Soccer, Rugby and Hockey, while the girls play Netball and Hockey. In the summer, the girls play Rounders and the boys play Cricket. Athletics, Tennis and Swimming are also thriving sports .
An extensive programme of inter-school fixtures is arranged each term and we like to see as many parents in support as possible! We like to win, but our priorities are participation, enjoyment and teamwork.

The school also has a bank of Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Machines at school. Children from Year 3 can use these in preparation for Outdoor Rowing. Bishopsgate is very competitive in the Concept 2 Schools Indoor Rowing League.

On Sunday 26th October at the 2008 British Indoor Rowing Championships Alex Neale (Year 6) won silver medal in the Under 11 event. Rory Harris placed 4th in the same event. Amy Simpson and Sophie Almeida placed 7th and 8th in the Girls Under 11 event. Mason Rainier-Kirkwood placed 7th in the under 12 event. The boys under 11 team placed 4th in their team race.
